The ammendment of guideline VDI 3866, part 5, in draft state since 07/2015, recommends extended techniques for the preparation and analysis for several groups of building materials. These are ashing, milling or grinding, for example of floor pavements and putties.

Materials pretreated in such a way have to be analyzed as dispersed specimens with heightened analytical expense, similar to the analysis of dust samples (Order-No.: 111).

Turn-around-times, urgency surcharges

Turn-around-times of samples are usually

• 3-4  days for analysis of bulk materials, dust samples and filter monitors
• 4-5 days for quantitative analysis of asphalts, rocks, mineral powders and dusts for asbestos

Due to an increased volume of samples, rush orders are currently not possible.

If other turn-around-times are desired, we charge the following percentages on all our services:          

• +50%: Processing by the end of the working day following the receipt of the sample (Monday to Friday) 
• +75%: Immediate processing on the same working day (Monday to Friday) for samples received by 9:00 am
• +100%: Weekend, bank holidays, on days from 5:00 pm to 8:00 am
